People are very passionate about riding bikes. It gives a great experience and thrill. Biking does not mean owing the bike and hitting the road immediately. You need to own a valid driving license before you quench your thirst for travel on your bike. Especially if you want to explore Dubai,a bike license in dubai is a must.
The handbook of the RTA’s motorcycle clearly states that the people who want to ride the bikes have to abide by the policies and rules obligatory for riders in the country. The eligible age for getting a valid license for a motorbike in Dubai is 17 years of age. Please also note that if you have a lawful driving license in the country you still have to apply and get yourself a separate license for riding a bike in the country.
If you still do not own the license for a bike you have to register as a beginner for an obligatory minimum of fifteen hours. You could get a chance to register for eight hours also if you own a valid motorcycle license for around two years. To prove this, you have to get an affidavit from the consulate which confirms that you possess a valid bike license.
It is compulsory to submit a photocopy of your passport as well if you want to have a bike license in Dubai.

Documentation that is required for attaching with the Application for License
- The ID of Emirates (Original and a copy)
- A NOC from the Sponsor (It must be stamped and signed preferably)
- Report of an eye test
- A photocopy of your passport with a valid residence visa of Dubai
- Two passport size photographs
- A photocopy of your own country’s license if you own one
The Procedure
You can take all the required documents to a driving school in dubai and get your application registered.
Then follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Attending theoretical lectures for around eight hours.
- Then you have to pass a test.
- Then comes attending the lessons practically
- Last is to pass the assessment test at the driving school.
You need to complete all your tests at the driving school. After that, you have to get enrolled for the tests by RTA. Once you pass all of them you become eligible to own your driving license.
